About the gym
Get Active PT is a raw, welcoming strength and conditioning gym in Ballina with over 20 years of coaching experience, 24/7 access, and smart programming designed for real people. We’re proud to be part of the local community and have built a supportive, no-ego environment where people of all ages and experience levels can feel comfortable training.
We keep our classes simple: Strength + Conditioning and Mobility + Strength. But underneath that simplicity is a structured system. Our training runs in focused four-week blocks, with each block having a different emphasis across those classes to challenge different movements, energy systems, and physical qualities. Then, every fifth week, we test strength and conditioning so people can see real progress, measure how far they’ve come, and train at the right intensity for them. It takes the guesswork out and keeps training honest. Every class is a jam-packed 45 minutes designed to prove what can be achieved when training is purposeful, well coached, and makes the most of the space, the facility, and people’s time. There’s no wasted time, no fluff, and no one-size-fits-all approach.
You also do not have to be fit to start. We scale exercises for beginners, people coming back from injury, older adults, busy parents, and experienced gym-goers, so everyone can train at the right level and still feel part of the group. That’s one of the best parts of Get Active PT — the supportive environment and watching people grow in confidence, strength, fitness, and overall capability over time. Our programming is unique. It’s not cookie-cutter, and it’s not something you’ll find everywhere else. It’s designed to improve strength, mobility, and conditioning so you become fitter, stronger, more durable, and more capable in your body. Backed by over 20 years of experience, the classes are built to help people move well, train safely, reduce aches and limitations, and stay out of the cycle of constantly needing something “fixed.” No ego. No franchise fluff. No gimmicky class names. Just smart training, real support, and real progress.
