Do you have friends who just can’t get enough of watching sports? The ones who watch every minute of every game? I do! And often, they can’t believe I’m not doing the same.
Think about it…that’s an average of 4 hours spent in front of the TV – some game time, lots of commercials.
And you know what? Most people do. The Nielsen Co. says the average person watches more than 4 hours a day. And that doesn’t count how much time we spend staring at our phones or laptops – hours more for most folks.
My point isn’t that screen time is bad and we’re all zombies because, you know, Technology. My point is: We need to monitor how we spend our time on a regular basis. That’s how we make sure we’re using it (and energy and concentration and money) on the right things.
So many people tell me they don’t have time to exercise – and then they’ll describe the Netflix series they just binge-watched.
As we wrap up one year and look ahead to the next, think about how you spend the 24 hours you get every day. Where can you cut back? What can you do more positively in that same time?
And what’s going to get you closer to where you really want to be this time next year?
We all get the same 24 hours – again proving that time isn’t the issue.
