Adelle is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD), Accredited Nutritionist (AN), Accredited Sports Dietitian (ASD) and member of Dietitians Association Australia. Adelle studied a Bachelor of Health Science: Nutrition & Dietetics (1st Class Hons) at QUT in Brisbane.
With over 15yrs experience as a dietitian, Adelle has enjoyed working in various countries and cultures (England, Scotland, Ireland, Tonga and Australia) and across various fields of dietetics including Clinical and Community Nutrition, and Performance Sports Nutrition (Scottish Institute of Sport).
In January 2011 Adelle established her own practice: Body Balance Nutrition, with locations in Lismore, Ballina, and Lennox Head. Although Adelle is experienced in all areas of nutrition advice, her specialist fields are Sports Nutrition, Gut Health, Allergy & Intolerance, and Disordered Eating. More recently, Adelle has become fascinated with the two-way relationship between the gut and the brain, and the psychology of eating and regularly includes Mindful Eating and Intuitive Eating in her practice.
On a personal note, Adelle has 2 young children and enjoys the outdoors: cycling, surfing and sailing in her spare time. Prior to children, Adelle used to compete in triathlon, distance running and mountain biking. Adelle is passionate about healthy eating and wholefoods, ensuring her family enjoy a variety of healthy and nutritious foods.
